Stanyl® TW275F6 - PA46-GF30 |
| Description | DURA Automotive specified Stanyl TW275F6 for gears in their SmartPark™ electronic braking system because of its tremendous ability not only to withstand heat, but also to retain its properties over long periods of time at elevated temperatures. The gear assembly endures a great deal of heat because it is located near the exhaust by the rear axle. DURA also noted that the gears weighed less than metal and were even quieter.DSM recommended Stanyl TW275F6 because of its strength and rigidity properties, as well as excellent fatigue resistance. Stanyl is in a class by itself because of its highly crystalline structure and when you combine that structure with the grade that contains molybdenum disulfide, you have a highly reliable wear-resistant gear. DSM also worked with DURA on the validation process during the initial mold trials and initial productions runs. |
